Stamp levels to unlock all
Barn Finds are back in Forza Horizon 6 — 15 hidden classic and racing cars scattered across Japan, from mountain forests to coastal roads. Unlike previous Forza Horizon games, Barn Finds are not tied to Wristband progression. They use an entirely separate system: the Discover Japan Stamps in your Collection Journal.
Critical — visit order matters
If you drive to a barn's location before earning the required Stamp level,
nothing will happen — the barn door will not open and the car will not appear. You must unlock the Stamp rumor first, then go to the search zone.
How the Discover Japan Stamp system works
There are 7 Stamp levels, each unlocking a new batch of Barn Find rumors on your map. Stamps are earned through exploration activities — not racing. Here is the progression path:
1
Earn Discover Japan points
Complete Story chapters (yellow badge icons — highest yield per minute), Street Races, Touge Battles, food delivery jobs, and smash Regional Mascots. All exploration activities count.
2
Reach a new Stamp level
Check progress anytime: Campaign Menu → Collection Journal → Discover Japan. Seven levels total — Visitor (1,250 pts) through Master Explorer (20,000 pts).
3
Barn Find rumors appear on your map
Each new Stamp unlocks 1–4 Barn Find search zones, shown as large purple circles. 2–4 Barn Finds unlock per level, depending on the tier.
4
Search the purple zone for the barn
Look for dirt tracks branching off roads inside the zone. Use ANNA Drone Mode to fly around and spot the barn roof faster. Most barns are slightly off the main road.
5
Wait for restoration — or pay Credits
After the discovery cutscene, the car is taken to a mechanic. Restoration takes several hours of play time. Pay Credits to speed it up. Mei will notify you when it's ready.
Fastest stamp farming method
Story chapters (yellow badge activities in the Collection Journal) give the most Discover Japan points per minute. Prioritise these. Street Races and Touge Battles give good points too and also progress the Horizon Play multiplayer system simultaneously.
All 15 Barn Finds — complete reference
All 15 cars are fixed across every playthrough. The order rumors appear may vary slightly per player, but the cars and their stamp requirements are consistent.

Detailed locations
★ Your first Barn Find. An iconic Japanese sports car — fitting opener for a game set in Japan.
One of the most historically significant Japanese cars ever made. A cornerstone collector's piece.
The great-grandfather of all GT-Rs. A must-have for any Skyline fan.
The most unusual find on the list. The Pao is a retro city car — no racing pedigree, but a genuine collector's gem.
The classic narrow-body Porsche — rear-engined, treacherous in bends, legendary on straights.
The legendary WRC homologation special. One of the fastest rally cars ever built.
An American icon with iconic suicide doors. The most stylish car on the entire Barn Find list.
★ The iconic Pennzoil JGTC racer. One of the most visually striking cars in the game. The 1995 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution III GSR Treasure Car is also near the waterfall — grab both in one trip.
★ Nissan's only serious attempt at Le Mans. An extremely rare racing machine.
A legendary Japanese touring car racing silhouette — one of the most dramatic-looking cars in the game.
★★ The crown jewel of FH6 Barn Finds. The 787B won the 1991 24 Hours of Le Mans — the only Japanese car ever to do so. Its rotary Wankel engine sounds unlike anything else in the game. Note: instant restoration costs seven figures in Credits — plan ahead or let the timer run.
After you find a barn
Once a car is collected, the barn pin on your map changes and that location converts into a Gift Drop spot — you can use it to share cars with other players online. The restored car is added permanently to your garage. All 15 Barn Find cars are separate from the 9 Treasure Cars also hidden across Japan.
Treasure Map DLC
The paid Treasure Map DLC marks all Barn Find and Treasure Car locations on your map automatically. However,
you still need the required Stamp level to trigger the find — the DLC only reveals where the barn is, not bypasses the unlock requirement.
