Legend Island (endgame)
FH6's Japan is the largest Forza Horizon map to date, with 673 roads spanning urban Tokyo streets, mountain passes, coastal highways, snowfields, and rural countryside. The map is divided into 9 regions, each with a distinct character, surface type, and set of collectibles. A tenth area — Legend Island — unlocks at Gold Wristband.
Fast travel and map exploration
Fast travel is free in FH6 but only to roads you've already driven. Deliberately driving every road in each region opens fast travel permanently and reveals all collectible icons nearby. Each region also has its own Treasure Car — see the Treasure Cars guide for all 9 locations.
All 9 regions — complete overview
01
Tokyo City
Urban · Neon · Street racing hub
The game's urban center and starting area. Tokyo City is a dense grid of highways, elevated expressways, narrow back streets, and the iconic Rainbow Bridge. Most Food Delivery jobs start here. Street races are plentiful. The high-speed freeway system around the bay is excellent for testing top-speed cars.
Treasure Car: 1991 Nissan Figaro (coastal parking lot near Rainbow Bridge)
02
Minamino
Suburban · Golf courses · Flat terrain
The transition zone between Tokyo's urban sprawl and rural Japan. Features the Naruo Golf Course, airfield, and a mix of suburban roads and wide-open flat terrain ideal for high-speed runs. Great for Drag events and Speed Zones.
Treasure Car: 1969 Dodge Charger R/T (behind golf course building)
03
Nangan
Coastal · Clifftop roads · Mixed terrain
Dramatic coastal scenery with clifftop roads overlooking the Pacific. Home to fishing villages, coastal highways, and hidden dirt tracks down to the shoreline. The Ford GT Treasure Car is parked on a cliff trail here.
Barn Finds: Nissan Skyline 2000GT-R (Blue stamp) · Porsche 911 Turbo 3.3 (Pink stamp) | Treasure Car: 2005 Ford GT
04
Hokubu
Flower fields · Flat farmland · Radio towers
The Shikisai-No-Aka flower fields make Hokubu one of the most visually distinctive regions. Flat and wide open — fast cars feel fastest here. The Lincoln Continental Barn Find is near the flower fields, and the BMW M1 Treasure Car is hidden under a railway bridge.
Barn Find: 1962 Lincoln Continental (Pink stamp) | Treasure Car: 1981 BMW M1 (railway bridge)
05
Ohtani
Mountain foothills · Bamboo forests · Touge roads
Where the flat southern regions give way to mountains. Dense bamboo forests, traditional villages, and the first proper Touge mountain roads. Mei's house is located here. Home to three Barn Finds and two of the best Touge race routes in the game.
Barn Finds: Honda NSX-R GT · Porsche 911 Turbo 3.3 · Lamborghini Diablo SV | Treasure Car: 1985 Mazda RX-7 GSL-SE
06
Takashiro
Waterfalls · Mountain roads · Shrine areas
A mountainous region built around dramatic waterfalls and Shinto shrine areas. The Tateyama mountain road is the most technically challenging driving route in the southern half of the map. The Pennzoil Skyline Barn Find and Lancer Evo III Treasure Car are both near the waterfall area.
Barn Finds: Nissan Pennzoil NISMO Skyline GT-R · Mazda #55 787B (Gold) | Treasure Car: 1995 Mitsubishi Lancer Evo III GSR
07
Shimanoyama
Historic post town · Mountain circuit · Dense forests
Home to Narai-Juku, FH6's recreation of a real Edo-period post town. Narrow streets through the historic settlement, then mountain roads opening up to the Narai-Juku Circuit — one of the best purpose-built race circuits on the map. Three Barn Finds are here, more than any other single region.
Barn Finds: Peugeot 205 Turbo 16 · Mitsubishi Montero Evo · Lancer Evo Time Attack | Treasure Car: 1986 Porsche 959 (behind gas station)
08
Sotoyama
Alpine snow · Ski slopes · High altitude
The highest and coldest region. Permanent snow cover, ski resort infrastructure, and the Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route — one of Japan's most famous mountain roads. Surfaces are slippery; AWD vehicles are significantly more effective here. The Lancia Stratos Treasure Car is hidden behind a mountain lodge.
Treasure Car: 1974 Lancia Stratos HF Stradale (behind mountain lodge)
09
Ito
Wind farm · Coastal peninsula · Long straight roads
The easternmost region — a half-island jutting into the Pacific. Home to a large offshore wind farm and long coastal roads perfect for top-speed cars. Four Barn Finds are distributed across Ito including the two Gold-tier finds (Tomica Skyline and Mazda 787B is in Takashiro). The Nissan Safari Turbo Treasure Car is under a wind turbine.
Barn Finds: Toyota 2000GT · Ford Sierra RS500 · Nissan R390 GT1 · Tomica Skyline Silhouette | Treasure Car: 1985 Nissan Safari Turbo
Legend Island
A tenth area — Legend Island — unlocks in the southeast corner of the map once you earn the Gold Wristband (Horizon Legend status). It contains the Colossus race, the Legend Island Circuit, exclusive reward cars, and a fresh set of XP Boards. See the Wristband progression guide for how to unlock it.
